"One Shining Moment" changed everything. I was minding my own business
writing music only brooding college professors might like...and the, whoosh, this
song came along.

Others followed. Over the years I've had many opportunities to compose for the Olympics, PBS documentaries, movies, the networks...but it all begins with a piano, a guitar and a walk around the block to get an idea worth writing about.

Each one of these compositions has its own story. I wrote "Golden Street" after a dear friend of mine fell in love. "Visions of Martin" came as a musical elegy after wandering the streets of Martin, Michigan where my grandmother was born & raised. "Devotion" came as a dream. "The Gift" was one...a gift. "Young Sarah" was a present to Sarah who was 6 weeks old at the time. And so
it goes...
